Combining modern conveniences with aesthetic simplicity, TAP Architecture designed the Modern Farmhouse with today’s homebuyers in mind. From the approach, the front vernacular is streamlined and minimalistic – with crisp, clean lines, minimal ornamentation and an expansive porch. Step inside the home, and you’ll experience contemporary style and state-of-the-art technology throughout.
The Modern Farmhouse’s 4,400-square-feet interior features a completely open floorplan, allowing homeowners and guests to have a clear view from the front door to the backyard. This home has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms spanning across three floors, with a 2-stall garage.
Incorporated into the design is the option to have either a sunroom or screened-in porch, 12-foot sliding doors leading from the kitchen to the upper terrace, and a sunken great room. To utilize a sloping yard, TAP Architecture designed a lower-level walkout and terrace as well. The lower level also features a game room, media room and a bar and wine cellar.
The bedroom and bathroom in the master suite feature vaulted ceilings that accentuate the gambrel roof, and the rest of the home boasts 9-foot ceilings throughout. Importantly, the Modern Farmhouse was developed for energy efficiency – and designed to take in as much natural light as possible.
