EDINA FARMHOUSE

THE EDINA FARMHOUSE CELEBRATES THE HISTORIC, PRE-1900S FARMHOUSE STYLE AND ENHANCES IT WITH MODERN CONVENIENCES

Combining modern conveniences with aesthetic simplicity, TAP Architecture designed this farmhouse with today’s homebuyers in mind. From the approach, the front vernacular is streamlined and minimalistic – with crisp, clean lines, minimal ornamentation and an expansive porch. Step inside the home, and you’ll experience contemporary style and state-of-the-art technology throughout.

The farmhouse’s 4,400-square-feet interior features a completely open floorplan, allowing homeowners and guests to have a clear view from the front door to the backyard. This home has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms spanning across three floors, with a 2-stall garage.

Incorporated into the design is the option to have either a sunroom or screened-in porch, 12-foot sliding doors leading from the kitchen to the upper terrace, and a sunken great room. To utilize a sloping yard, TAP Architecture designed a lower-level walkout and terrace as well. The lower level also features a game room, media room and a bar and wine cellar.

The bedroom and bathroom in the master suite feature vaulted ceilings that accentuate the gambrel roof, and the rest of the home boasts 9-foot ceilings throughout. Importantly, the Edina Farmhouse was developed for energy efficiency – and designed to take in as much natural light as possible.
